Once we had wandered the museum, we walked to the studio – a smallish barn Rockwell used and had been moved onto the estate by the museum, overlooking the countryside below. It was plainly done, painted white with some of the props he had picked up, and possessed a certain airiness about it that let the light into a pristinely clean room. A guide was there to answer questions and explain some of the habits Rockwell had.
After that, we went by the old stone estate house, and returned to the car, and with that we made it back to the highway and after pausing for a brief lunch and fuel, drove on back to Greenland without stopping.
