Day 13: Biscuit Basin

Roadside stops to view a lonely blue hot spring, waterfalls, and less known attractions are easier on the whole. And plenty to see as we encounter another lonely buffalo near Fountain Flat, a broad open pasture where grass is struggling to grow despite being baked from below.

We do make a stop at Biscuit Basin where I hike out to view the Saphire Pool and the Wall Pool close up in their azure blue beauty. I will say they make a good effort at providing good boardwalks to keep people from trampling on top of these unusual geological features.
