Each stop offered new views – perhaps the arch was the best of all, standing stoicly below the easy to get to overlook, well over three stories tall before it vanished into the dust and brush of the canyon below. Unlike other arches, this one was formed in a peculiar way, which they are still debating about if you listen to the audio CD long enough.
Acting on a hunch, we went to the park lodge at the end of the drive, as Pops had overheard there was a gift shop there. And what a shop! Mum was in there for nearly an hour, perusing the treasures, while Trixie and Pops awaited in the cool lobby.
