Inspiration Point is a steep hike, so Mum remains with the car, and Pops viewed the edge. Far below, another forest of orange spires reaching up to turn white towers over the bright green trees that find places to root amongst the maze of stone. It is inspiring to see such contrasts between dry stone and lush forests far below.
We drive down to Rainbow Point, the southernmost point of out long journey, and as far south from home we have gone on this trek. The reasoning is obvious for driving the 20 miles nonstop south – most pulloffs – all of the vital ones – are on the east side of the road, where Bryce is located, and will be easier to view driving back north.
