More of the same scenery greets us as we turn to Hanksville, but more hoodoos appear like lonely outposts to the mountains beyond. We pause at one set of three hoodoos, standing like defiant shepherds on this wide plain, watching over a collection of smaller distant pillars of stone out in the dry sandy field.
